framework background

The myImpact system first began development in 2008 as a sideline project of Impact Media. Through the recession we noticed so many new start up businesses looking to launch an online presence, although one major flaw was the limited budget that these new start-ups had.

We saw an opportunity to bridge the gap between great design and affordability. The only issue was; how can we do this without de-valuing our current service?

After putting our heads together we decided the best way would be to develop a framework that all the websites could launch from. Our biggest challenge was time - we needed to launch websites quicker otherwise our business would become un-profitable!

This framework would enable our developers to quickly modify existing code, and customise theme files to create websites in a very short time frame.

Using this framework we can develop custom branded websites for small and growing businesses from as low as £495 + VAT.

Not to be confused
with web templates!

myImpact is not a web template. The main difference is that we do not pre-design any graphical inteface and simply drop in logos.

Template websites provide pre-created designs, where clients select which design they want, and then its put together, these are even cheaper than the myImpact system, however a thousand other people could have the same design - myImpact websites are unique and custom designed to your business and incorporating your branding.

myImpact framework
explained

The framework is built upon the 960 grid system, which divides the page into equal segments. We have adapted the grid to best suit what we would consider the most popular choices in terms of layout.

The homepage is created from 3 options (see below) this page is the difinitive page that allows the design to be unique.

Another important page is the Content Page, these are the pages the appear on all the “service” pages. These are styled based on 2 options, which will then replicate

The home and the content pages are what define the characteristics of the website, a majority of the other pages. i.e. the video or gallery page are practically the same.
